How do we move there and work?

We would like to leave the US permanantly and reside in Nicaragua. We would have enough money to purchase a modest home but then would need to work, perhaps teaching English? Is there somebody out there that can explain how to be a permanent resident and be permitted to work? We have been to a million websites and can't seem to find the answer to this specific question. Appreciate any help.

Working and living in Nicaragua

We do have a business here and it does take a residency to work, it is not hard to get it. Come on down and see what is going on, there are opportunities

No need for residency to work

You do not need neither a residency nor a work permit really to be here and to work... Check and ask more from the following link http://www.nicaliving.com/node/1598

If you can afford to buy a modest home, and make a little bit to live off of, then by all means Do it.... It is much easier than you tink, the trick is your source of income (however small, as long as you own your home).

Income

We love you. Tell us more. we're ready to go! The best news yet. Any idea on jobs for a social worker and a phlebotomist/trainer? Any link ideas for that. We're heading for the link you sent right now. Thanks

Honestly I don't...

I am not even sure what phlebotomist means.... I think something like teaching english, or some type of small business is what you should count on. Salaried work here is something that 4 million other nicaraguan dream about too... so you have to make it using your own entrepreneurial spirit....

Phlebotomist

Phlebos=vein otomy=incision another name: >> vensection

thanks,

Thanks, however I was being sarcastic... I do not really think this type of work will fly here... There are probably hundreds of people who already take blood, and they probably do it without any "formal" training... I know here in Granada, in a reputable lab, the ladies there that do this tupe of job did not even complete high school....

Search

Hey Morjak, the best way to get started is to put the words [ permanent resident ] up in the search box. You will have more then enough to get you started.
