Residency by marriage
Does anyone have any recent experience with obtaining residency through marriage with a Nicaragua spouse?
In this case, the Nicaraguan spouse is poor and cannot support the non-Nicaraguan spouse. However, the non-Nicaraguan is pretty comfortable financially and can show that she has the means to support herself as well as her new Nicaraguan family.
I've read threads in the past which indicate Immigration was pretty flexible in cases like this. In one thread, for example, the non-Nicaraguan spouse was able to show that he could support himself economically because he had bought a little farm here, which Immigration said was sufficient.
However, all the threads I've found are rather old. This is why I ask for input from people with recent experience.
