Yes, a new forum: Helping Nicaraguans
We (all) spend a lot of time and effort complaining about things Nicaraguan. It generally is a specific issue that became a problem we faced and sometimes we even get some followups about addressing that problem. But, even if we do it tends to get buried among non-related discussion. The most recent post is http://www.nicaliving.com/node/20984#comment-117925.
That post inspired me to create this new forum topic. A place where we can present and discuss solutions. While we are going to need to present the problem here if we are going to look for solutions, the discussion should confined to looking at possible solutions, not just grumbling about the problems.
Note that this doesn't mean we need to implement the solution. In many cases an external solution may be undesirable/rejected. But, getting some ideas on the table and talking about them may inspire Nicaraguans to get thinking about what we see are problems and how they might be addressed.

SOLUTION
A forgotten word today here and in US politics as well. Replaced by gripes, complaints, whines, moans and groans.
At my first job just out of engineering college I will never forget the first meeting with the company president. He said never come into my office or into a meeting and report a problem or you will be out the door. He said that if you can't also propose a solution at lease propose a plan to find a solution.
Familiar
My first job out of college was at Collins Radio. The person in charge of programming in our facility (about 70 staff as I remember) complained in a meeting which included Art Collins about the lack of training available for his programmers. He was asked if he had a solution and said no. He left that meeting with a new job -- he was in charge of training instead of 70 programmers.
