Gun control "humor"
As guns/gun control are a common topic here, this article seems of interest. Maybe it belongs in the humor section except that would really mean most political stupidness would belong there as well.
In any case, the article is about making your own guns. Check it out in Activist Post.
Forbes has recently published an article about New York Congressman Steve Israel's promise to ban 3D printed high capacity ammunition magazines. The congressman's comments come after Defense Distributed, an open source DIY gunsmith group working to manufacture both guns and their accessories using 3D printing technology, successfully printed and tested a 30-round AR-15 magazine.
Maybe the article is just there to increase sales of 3D printers. Or outlaw them.

you don't need a printer...
to get in trouble;

So, what is an AR-15?
Activist Post has an interesting article that fits with the previous humor. There is more but this gets across the idea.
It's all in the spin

seems
seems like a different position for you fyl?
Not really
I am no fan of guns but I am less excited about governments with double standards. A government, any government, is there to serve the people of the country. I cannot see how the government having more privileges than a person can work towards this end.

where is anyone else? the main reason usanos are armed is for self defense from intruders and tyrrany.
Bringing this back to Central America ...
In my past life (as a political activist) in Seattle, I was at a Bruce Cockburn concert in Seattle. He preformed his then and still famous song If I had a rocket launcher. After the song, he talked about it. As background, here is a quote from his web page:
At the concert he explained he was Christian and a peace activist. He explained that he wrote the song when he was pretty much on the Mexico/Guatemala border and that armed helicopters would fly over on a regular basis. Sometime they did just fly over but, other times, they strafed a populated area. He explained while he was not the kind of person who would use that rocket launcher, this daily uncertainty gave him these thoughts.
Well, to me, the AR-15 story is the same issue. I don't want DHS to have them but, if they can then everyone else should be able to have them as well. We don't need to worry about the drug runners -- the DEA supplied their needs -- but I guess we need to issue them to everyone else.
