is one of only 3 offbeat locations here that I have found to be ``authentic``, ``different``, etc. San Carlos and Cd Antigua are the other two.

Definately worth a morning walkabout and a quick lunch, although we definately struck out on hotel and restaurants. We ended up eating at the kiosk in central park. I`d stay at the hot springs on the road back to the Panam and visit boaco on a daytrip.

Bring walking shoes as there is a hill or 2!
