San Cristobol Eruption

San Cristobol has belched is probably the best way to describe it. An Al Jazeera article describes the recent activity of the San Cristobol Volcano.
The plume formed a cloud extending 48km from the 1,745m San Cristobal volcano, which is about 154km north of the capital Managua in the country's volcano-dotted northwest, said the Nicaraguan Institute of Territorial Studies, or Ineter.

This eruption made the news up here in New England.
3,000 people evacuated from around the volcano. Quite an impressive column of grey ash.

There was another major eruption in Guatemala 2 weeks ago.
