The town is in the US but on the border with Mexico and seems doing good: ""It's easy to fall into drugs, drinking, and violence when you live on the border. It's not really easy to find a place to hang out when you're 14 that's not the mall, the movies, or Mexicom," a resident told the LA Times.

I saw a brief mention of this last week, but didn't follow up by reading about it.

This may be happening more and more as the suburbs and their cars are abandoned for life in more compact cities.

One thing I wonder about though - how do they repel all the leftover vagrant zombies who still think its Walmart?
