Any Musical Instrument Shops in the Country?

Hi everyone.

I'm a drummer and would bring my drums with me when I make the move. I've been looking all over the net and on instrument manufacturer sites and never see any listings for distributors/retailers in Nicaragua, just Costa Rica and occasionally Honduras. Anyone know of anywhere in the country that I can pick up drums, cymbals, and those kinds of items?

In Altamira in Managua, just north of Sinsa on the same (west) side of the street is an instrument store with a pretty good selection.

My guess is that most cities have such places. In Estelí there is at least one. In addition, music schools may sell instruments. For example, when I was looking for a guitar for my niece, one place which was suggested was one of the guitar schools. What you may also find are stores that carry musical instruments as a sideline. For example Liberia Rúben Dário has a section which sells guitars and, as I remember, some other musical instruments.

They bought $1,000 worth of new parts a year or so ago, snare drum skins, stretchers, adjusting screws etc.
