Lunching options around Masaya

I may end up around Masaya this Sunday and am looking for better-quality places to have lunch. Any suggestions?

Mexican

I ate at a place just two block down from the square, on the same street as the gun store. It was a Mexican place that had THE BEST Mole in Nicaragua. Their taco's were street taco's, but their dinner's were awesome. I'd go there in a second. The name is in the Moon book..

there is a buffet on the corner across from the central park in downtown masaya that is cheap and good-don't know the name-wish they were in granada-also-i like jarrochitos-mispelled the name for mexican food-i especially like the chicken mole

El Aeropuerto, which is located on your way out of Masaya, heading toward Grenada. It is located on the left side of the highway, so you will need to swing around at the rotunda and head back toward Masaya. I have been going there for years, and have never been disappointed in either the food or the service.

Pollo eateries is Pollo Narcizo, it's a few blocks before you reach the turn towards tipitapa(coyotepe hill). their pollo is delicious, succulent .

I stop to eat there EVERY TIME on my way back from cazares.

Catarina Mirador

Catarina is very close to Masaya. I like the mirador restaurants with the view of the apoyo. I especially like the restaurant that is farthest around to the left. I forgot the name.

Eat at Mi Viejo Ranchito in Caterina!!! It has the best typical Nicaraguan food, drinks and the place is beautiful!

Bucanera is fairly close if thats the 1 ur thinking. Right on the Masaya highway. Been there 4 times and each time the service and food has gotten worse! Pretty sure when I was sick last week, it was because of the food I had there the day prior! Talk about greasy, was very disappointed. Plus the waiter brought me two wrong items! Forgot a side dish for my wife, THEN tried to charge us for that side dish which according to the menu said it was included!! Only thing going for it---has a great view! We will never be going back, and we really liked it the first visit--food was great, but each time after that, its gone downhill.

Papa John's Pizzeria, believe it or not they have exquiste buffalo wings for an appertizer and the Pizza ain't bad either, especially WITH THE gARLIC dIpping Sauce!!!
