One of my landlady's sisters-in-law has a pulperia where she sells mostly cookies and small items like juices, instant noodles, and toilet paper. Her son knows someone who raises these, and this past Sunday, she had them in the street for sale by the slice, and in her front room.

It`s defineately watermelon season in Nicaragua. Try to buy from vendors who store them in the shade as the ones in the sun get mushy. Mangos are also available now, as are avocados.
