"Ice is Civilization" Off-grid and outside of Masatepe

From the movie The Mosquito Coast, Harrison Ford's character Allie Fox was relentless in his pursuit of cutting himself off from the USA, but at the same time driven by his ego to perfect paradise and bring in civilizing elements (such as ice.) In July 2010 we brought ice to our little corner of Nicaragua. We are off-grid and brought down a propane RV refrigerator. We had ice four hours after hooking it up to a Tropigas tank.
But, Do You Have
the other pillars of civilization? Flush toilet, and hot running water?
Allie only got part of it right. I did like his AC system . . .
