Paul Tiffer offer advices for free in Nicaliving, and other website copied and use it, also by email; ptiffer@cablenet.com.ni, because sharing my experience in Immigrations, Corporations, Real Estate Purchase, Gun's License, and other topics to help people, foreign people can do their staying in Nicaragua SMOOTH.-
I STRONGLY believe Nicaragua needs foreign investment to go ahead, and many people doesn´t know how to start. My expertise have been appreciated for some of them, and hire me, some others can get for free my advices, I will keep doing because lack of information produce frustration to several people. Nicaliving users are one step ahead in these process, congratulations.
There is something for sure, every single case is different from another; Canadians needs to do an extra job because no there are Nicaraguan Consulates in Canada, for example or income's prove are absolutly diferent in every case; Police and Health Records too. PURCHASE PROCESS of Real Estates are hard in Nicaragua, etc.-
Last but not lease, writing in Nicaliving forces myself to improve my English, I know I have to work hard in these topic, so I apologrize for any grammatical mistake in this, none edit comment.

Nica Canadian consolates :
Neither exist fyi.... Forget that idea... been that route and it goes nowhere... You have to send docs for authentication / approval to the Nicaraguan consulate in Washinton... that is after having them notarized first and secondly having the notary also authenticated by a chamber of notaries for each document as well ( ie in Quebec you can do this in Montreal at the Chamber office. ) All three steps are necessary before you send docs to your Nica lawyer to present in the process of residency status... then there is their needed processes also.
I could wirte a book on the whole story from A to Z ... one would think it is not complicated and a smooth process... IT IS NOT. And anticpate way more time to get it all done than you expect.
You right
Like I posted when i got my cedula, 6 months seems like a long time but it is not. If at all possible, process all your docs at one time in your home country and hand carry them. Probably not possible, but that is what you should aim for. Treat everything on a same-day or next-morning basis.

You've said that there are
You've said that there are no Nicaraguan consulate's in Canada, but when I search that, it lists one in Montreal as well as one in Whitby, Ontario.
Do they still list
The Nica. Consulate in East Germany?
