Language Course in ManaguaSubmitted by La chelita on 27 April, 2004 - 14:58.
I have just joined this forum and would like to meet people who live in Managua. I live there with my nicaraguan partner. I am fluent in Spanish, and am running a 6 day Spanish course in May and June this year, I thought some people on this site might be interested. The course is titled ´Don´t just be a survivor - get fluent!´ and is aimed at people who already live and work in Nicaragua, and can communicate in Spanish, yet struggle to express themselves as fluently as they would like. We will be looking at advanced grammar topics, and having communication skills sessions in the afternoons. The course will take the format of 6 all-day Saturday sessions. If anyone is interested in the course please feel free to email me at ruthnorthey@hotmail.com so I can send you further details. ( categories: )

The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of a private power to a point where it becomes stronger than the democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism - ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. |
Estelí?
First, let me say this is the type of course I am looking for. With a day job and a learning style that requires a few days for stuff to set in, a once-a-week class would be great.
That said, I live in Estelí and trecking to Managua for six Saturdays will not work for me. But, if anyone knows of something similar in Estelí, I'm on it.
Advanced Spanish course
This course is running in Managua, but if there is enough interest the possibility of running an identical future course in Esteli exists. Do you think there would be adequate interest?
accomodation
If someone from outside Managua is really interested in the course, I can provide accomodation for Friday night (and Saturday if needed) at a very reasonable price and within a short walking distance of the classes.
