This page is here to generalize the Reviews section so that we can have more than just book reviews. Additionally, it is here to eliminate confusion between what this software calls a book and what it is that we are reviewing.

Drupal, the software used to implement this web site contains a content type called a book. We use them, for example, in the Nica Info section. They offer a way to have hierarchical information represented in easily readible chunks.

Creating Book Reviews

A book review is actually a type of image (because this allows a place to put a scan of the cover. Thus, to add a book review, you do the following:

  1. Click on Create content in the menu on the right.
  2. Click on Image from the sub-menu.
  3. In the Submit Form, in item Image, select Book Covers.
  4. Be sure to include the image file location in the form, then fill in your review, and submit the form.

If this seems a bit confusing, well, it is. This method is left over from a much older version of Drupal. It's on the "make it better when we have time" list.
