Elections in Honduras

I am ready for the elections even if Mel isn't. While I will not be voting, I will be more than happy to congratulate whoever wins. As far as nobody recognizing the elections as legal as soon as they are finished and the results are in everybody is going to breathe a sigh of relief and wave goodbye to the whole mess. Roberto and Mel will both be retired and be mutually forgiven for their sins and Hondurans and everyone else will move on.

Shakespeare himself could not have written a better comedy than the Pajama coup in Honduras. Maybe somebody will turn it into a movie but if they do it's too bad Peter Sellers is already dead because he would have made a great Mel.Not sure who would be good as Roberto though Rod Steiger might have been ok.

In any event once said election is held and Honduras has a new President I suggest we all break out our bottles of FDC and give him a toast for ending the Neverending Honduran Pajama Coup of 2009.

Wonder what 2010 will bring-maybe the downfall of Daniel or Uncle Hugo or both.
