Guava Picker

I always like to plan ahead. Later today an 11 year old will be here and I am sure "Phil, can you reach that guava for me" will be on the agenda soon.
So, a scrap of wood about a meter long, half a plastic bottle (the other half will become a funnel), a broken piece of aluminum off an antenna with a hole drilled in it, a scrap of plywood and three screws is now a guava picker.
For you Gringos in the U.S., you can probably go to Home Depot and buy one but I like my solution better. Why says there is no recycling program in Nicaragua?
