Classes in Esteli
On the same topic, does anyone have opinions on the language schools in Estili? Also how's the weather in December in Esteli?
CENAC
They seem to get the best reviews here. Their contact info is on the page with the other schools. December will be nice. The rains are over (I like the rains) but it will still be green.
Thanks. I've been in contact
Thanks. I've been in contact with them and they were on the top of my list. Are they located right on the Pan American in a blue building? I was in Esteli last month and I remebered seeing a school across the street from the Shell station. I was so frustrated with my spanish skills I decided taking an imersion course was a good excuse to go back to Esteli.
That's them
While my Spanish (or, my Nicaraguan) continues to improve, if I can find the time I will probably take a week or three of classes there. The biggest learning problem I am having is that the people I live with have decided it is easier for them to learn the "fyl" language rather than correct me. While we communicate fine, that doesn't help my Spanish skills.
I do have a friend/neighbor who seems to enjoy correcting me. So, that's a win. She is, however, realizing I will "get even" when she wants to learn English.
One thing you will find here are a lot of words unique to Nicaragua. For example, my neighbor was quizzing me on some assorted words. Two that I didn't know also were not in the dictionary. If you can find one, getting a Nicaraguan Spanish dictionary is a good investment. I had one with 2000 unique to Nicaragua words but it vanished in my move to my new house.
December in Esteli ?
Interesting question.I'll let others answer it
