List of owners in nica development

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a list of owners at a Nicaraguan development from the public records? If so who would one contact? An attorney? A notary? Also, does anyone have the name of a reliable English speaking attorney in the State of Leon? Thanks.

Incorporators, yes

Much like any jurisdiction, the incorporators and initial Board of Directors will be on the incorporation paperwork. That, if course, doesn't necessarily mean it is the current ones but that is also true most anywhere.

The information is public record—available in the Registro Publico, in your case, in León. Anyone should be able to look at the records. Estelí is a bit "special" but if you point out what the word public means, you can see them.

As for an English-speaking attorney, I only know of 1.5 in the country. The one is Paul Tiffer in Managua. It is probably worth contacting him to ask if he knows of someone in León.

I wish I could

I actually own a lot near SJdS and have for many years. If I could get the names of the other owners, we could probably get something done. Now, if they really own them, that information would also be in the Public Registry but I am not sure how it is indexed.

Another possibility is to go to Catastro who should have the information. As that information is location-oriented, it should be easier to find what you need. They would also have the "short plat" info (whose name I forget in Spanish).
