EC, Nicaragua in Talks to Unfreeze Aid

Xinhuanet reports that the European Commission and the Nicaraguan government are in talks to unfreeze $100 million in aid for Nicaragua. This is aid that was frozen as a result of allegation of vote fraud in last year's election. Note that this aid is independent of aid to education.
The EC, the executive body of the European Union (EU), also said the EU would continue to support Nicaragua's education sector. On Tuesday, Nicaragua received 10 million dollars from the EU in aid to the education.
