Those are trees cutted on timber with motorsaw, the usual way the trafficants or ilegal cutters do it to avoid the authorities, you buy them??

That way of process the wood is not allowed anymore, only for people that will cut it fot they farms and use in their necesities.

The only exeption right now is for the the wood that the hurricane Felix knocked down in the caribbean coast.

i belive that is the one that knocked down the forest on the east coast...already been a few years back. i understand there is lots of wood just laying around that will just rot or catch fire in the dry season. thats if its not cleaned up. this is a large undertaking why because they need to build roads into the zone were all the wood is, or heli the wood out.

Yeahh, im very concernd it about that isssues, because i know very well the impact of the deforestation and abuse of the forest.

Like i have said before, i born in a shop (furniture factory) , i used going together with my dad to buy the wood, some time going to the farms and choose the trees, or going to the millsaw to choose the logs.

Was pleny wood at thet time , wasn't any problems, the leftist propaganda about companies messing the forest in Nicaragua , was about the pines trees in the north zone, and the Plywood factory of Tipitapa that was using logs from the carribbean zone , something i think they would have changed theirs ways to the lumber forest management actually that are implemented in must countries.

But for example the Plywood was confiscated and given to a sandinista busisness man without the knowledges or preparation to deal with such problems.

But isn't trying to portray it the sandinism like the root of all our misfortunes , but after 79 magically the wood problems star to deeping ,lot of people were involved in the wood busisness, and contradctory because all the furniture factories dissapears.

We become the Cuban suppliers of wood, something before they must carried fron Russia,every body was knocking dow trees for living with out control,.

Personally i encounter a friend of mine from the guerrilla time, it was a high ranking officer of the Air Force Sandinista ,this was in the Miami Airport maybe in 94 , in the conversation i ask him what he was doing there

-was doing busisness, wood busisness, i ask for mre details, and told me he was extracting wood from the Caribbean and using even a couple of helicopters from the FAS.

This story right now is extended , the maffia of wood is almost the same as the Maffia of lands.

This is forgotten story few talk about. Government shipped huge amounts of wood to Russia. Old timers will tell you how many trees old growth there were around San Marcos and environs and now none.

reforestion projects

there are several reforestation projects going on. i understand if you plan on a reforestion project to harvest the wood in the future . you are to make sure the goverment knows in advance otherwise they will not let you harvest the trees ...
