Our House, Updated
This is the current revision (ok, as of 5 minutes ago) of our house at CoolTop. Let's just say we have learned a lot.
The unpainted part around the windows and door were added so it doesn't rain inside. Without this additional overhang, water from the roof would run down the top of the windows and then end up on the bottom sill. They will be painted (with an elastomeric paint) soon.
The walkway around the dome was Ana's idea. Works for me. Except, outside of it she has an area for a garden. My calculation is that for every mm of rain that falls on the dome, you get about 10 mm of water in that area. Melanga should do fine but that seems like about it. We'll see.
Still lots to be done inside but the floor is done so it is actually move-in time. No more sleeping in the garage.

Who would ever have thought . . .
that one could find igloos in Nicaragua! :) Looks good!

Oven
We regularly have people comment that it looks like an oven and one person, from afar so that it appeared smaller than the garg\age asked if we were opening a bakery.
Why? Well, eskimos may be familiar with igloos but here this shape is the shape of an ourdoor oven made with clay. (We actually have one behind the caretaker's house.) They are typically used to make rosquillas but certainly will work for bread or even pizzas.
Actually, the only real difference is that the house is rebar and concrete whereas the ovens are sticks and mud.
Adds look good
the rain protection adds are a nice touch as well as being functional.
