Got good advice on the collision coverage.

What about this...required? Any general info would b good Picking my car up at the shipper next week and would like to have at least this if available.

you can buy minimun insurance with just a copy of the aduanas papers at any iniser office or thru a reseller agent, no additional cost. When I got my Jeep out of aduana I did not need any proof of insurance, its at your own risk, I got insurance a few days later in granada, just called my regular agent and a few hours later I had my insurance, even before going to transito. In fact I took almost a year before going to transito to try to get Nica tags. This is because my DC tags were valid and whenever I got stopped i showed them my DC registration, DC license and my INISER insurance. By the way the INISER insurance cost $65 for a year, this is third part liability only. Get qoutes from INISER, Metropolitan and Seguros de america (BAC)when you want to purchase full coverage, its very expensive here, its mostly based on the type of vehicle. My regular agent is Mario Morales, first class treatment, I use him for all my insurance needs, Car, Home, Life and health. His number is 465-0073.

i dont think they will let you leave with the car unless you have required..i get mine at BAC..there are several others that sell it.you will probably have to take the car to transito you can buy it there..
