Back says, "Thermal Baths Tipitapa Nicaragua - This pool is some 30 Kilometers from the Northern highway in the vicinity of lake Xolotan and lake Nicaragua. Its waters are medicinal and sulphurous"
Pools may no be there but does anyone know location? There has to be still some remains of this.

Existing might be streching it..
They are concrete! It's nothing like Tabacon. I was there three weeks ago. The place is a toilet. A shame really! 20 cords to get into this dump. The pools (there are two) are filthy and are covered in aglae. The picture here is of the first pool from the vent. This water circulates to the second pool that is a bit cooler (Tempaturewise) The sauna where the vent for the thermal water comes up is a shack. Used condoms, cigarette butts and empty beer cans don't really add to the ambiance either. The place is covered with garbage and the only thing that seemed to be happy there were the weeds. If someone had the finances and could secure a consession on the place, it could probably be a viable business. Right now the government runs it. (enough said) The water is still hot (very) and it's still loaded with sulphur. A visit here as it exists today would be comparable to taking a sauna in someone's colonic discharge.

What is the name of it?
Interesting it is still be run as a business. $1 to get in so you probably should not expect much. Did you read that the Belgians got sick from this place?
The algae was always scraped on a schedule I remember from Tabacon springs in Costa Rica. This was back in 1997 when I last went when they were upgrading to make a more pricey resort out of it. This is around the time Costa Rica started marketing for the international market and the prices for almost everything have gone up since. Tabacon was pretty basic back in 1990 though.
Do you have the name of the place in Nicaragua? Did they have massages available?
