La CarretaSubmitted by fyl on 18 July, 2005 - 05:23.
This is what I wrote when the name changed from El Sabor Magico to La Carreta. Whatever. This is the new name for El Mesero. Cuban-owned, this is one of the high-end (for Estelí) restaurants. The menu has an assortment of beef, pork, chicken and seafood dishes. They are pretty much typical Nicaraguan rather than what I would expect to find in Cuba. A typical meal costs about C$100. It includes a salad that usually consists of lettuce, tomato, beet and cucumber. Most plates include french fries and rice. Some dishes include additional sauce(s) to put on them. All in all, pretty decent food. Beer available plus a full bar. El Sabor Magico is located 1c east of the cathedral, across the street from White House Pizza. |

It is driving Nicaragua steadily closer to dependency on Moscow, as a similar embargo did to Cuba a quarter century ago. |
