OAS

What represents the danger to democracy, the alleged election fraud in Nicaragua and the Nicaraguan demand for an OAS censure of the U.S. (Nicaragua is an OAS member and can legitimately request this) or the U.S. request for a Nicaraguan election fraud investigation via OAS (the U.S. is an OAS member and they can request this for consideration)? The decision might be complicated by the fact that Nicaragua wouldn't allow OAS oversight, even though they are OAS members. Nicaragua rejected OAS election oversight because, allegedly, the OAS is simply a tool of the U.S., though they now want OAS censure of the U.S. - which must mean they think "tools" censures themselves, or something like that. It is unlikely anyone familiar with the OAS Charter or the OAS Inter-American Democratic Charter would see this dispute as some sort of tombstone on the principles member countries are supposed to be living up to and defending.

Regardless as to where on stands in this matter. The LAST thing needed is "big brother" telling us what to do. I'm reasonably sure that most Nicaraguans feel that way.

i hate to say it but, only hard work and private sector (for the X time) will bring nicaragua out of the hole, we don't want, we don't need specialy the US to tell us how to run our country, when it is proven that only a few guys call the shots here not the president..... you will see it with obama... who that heck you think you are? Nicaraguan politicians lost their pride, they can get in a ring with anyone, but don't have the balls to say, Stop, i don't need you, let me figure it out, sometime i think they are the dumbest people on the planet, have you seen the fights in the asamblea (where they meet).... 02/100.Chaq
