Another Shipment Made It

0

We just got word that another shipment from the U.S. for us has cleared customs. I was going to call it large but Roger wins. We were less than half a container. We, once again, used Republic.

This time it took about two weeks to clear but that included the election weekend so I am not surprised. There were also lots of things from lots of countries included. The last shipment was ready almost immediately but it was 200 of one thing shipped by air and wall all made in India and shipped from there.

No nuclear waste like Roger :-) but this time the shipment included a coffee roaster, solar panels, inverter, various chargers and voltage converts, lead-acid batteries and a host of other "assorted items".

All in all, the hardest part of this shipment was getting the U.S. vendors to actually send invoices. The good news is that Aduanas seemed to be ok with laser printed copies of the web-based or email-based invoices.

Now, if you happen to be in Managua with a 2-ton truck and plan of traveling to EstelĂ, could you pick the stuff up for us? :-)

Driving up from CR

Hey FYL - I'm not coming from Managua and don't have a 2-ton truck, but I will be driving my little Suzuki up from CR on Dec. 3. If you need anything from down south, just let me know.

Ciao, Nicole
