Where to buy authentic Nicaraguan coffee?

Where can a person buy authentic, fresh, Nicaraguan ground coffee?

In Masaya or Granada?

I am looking to enjoy a nice cup of ground Nicaraguan coffee every morning.

I will make my way to Hotel Dario in Granada and buy some of the coffee that was recommended in a previous posting.

there is a coffee finca at the halfway point up Volcano Mombacho. Their coffee is also sold at Hotel Dario on Calle Calzada but, I'd recommend the trip up Mombacho regardless.

That is San Marcos - Jinotepe and Diriamba, my favorit is a small roaster in San Marcos.

We have some and can grind it before your eyes. :-)

That said, it is getting close to time for next year's coffee. At CoolTop we will have all the processing equipment including roasting and grinding. It is part of our "show, tell and drink" plan.

export quality? in Matagalpa or jinotega, but there is authentic coffe on almost every city in Nica, granada i would say is a little less commercial than masaya, therefore i would start in masaya, Chaq

in Esteli, Super las segovias seems to have the best selection. I haven´t settled on a favorite brand because everytime I find something I like the next bag is different. I think the QC is a little flakey. I have 2 or 3 brands I like and switch around. The örganic, export quality¨¨ brands are from the Segovias a/o Matagalpa-Jinotega. Other parts of the country will have different brands.

Folger´s decaf from Pricesmart is great for evening use. Instant Nescafe decaf is also available but pricey.

¨Nicaragua is poor for a reason¨
