A La Madre

This is a big marble statue in Granada's Central Park...Using my limited Spanish skill I translate the saying

"To The Moms...all about love and self sacrifice"

last week thinking about my own mom who was very ill with lung cancer....She passed this morning around 3 AM CST in the US. I had already booked a flight to go and visit on this coming Tuesday...just four days too late.....

So if your mom is still around tell her you love her while you can....

for the support....Even if you are as old as I am, the world just seems a little colder sin tu mamá. Now it's my dad to worry about...with out mom to bicker with that old coot won't have anything to do other than the watch the weather channel all day....

barrio Spanglish it would be "¡Tu Madre!" followed by gunshots...

No tripod required this was snapped around one in the afternoon....
