I suppose you could find real anchor bolts or Simpson ties in Managua or have a welder make some, but this seems to be the norm in the north.

This is weird to me but then I am Not from the North. Although it does a better job of holding the roof down. 3g Report, Driving past the central park In Masaya its working great.
