Well I am on the way

Just gave my landlord's manager two months' notice so I guess that makes it official. Barring misfortune or an unexpected offer of a dream job, I will be landing at MGA in late Oct. and this time I will be staying a minimum of six months.

Plan to drift around for the first couple of months, see as many regions as I can, and take as many Spanish immersion courses as I can fit in. Speaking of which, if anyone needs a home-sitter let me know.

After that I will go nuts unless I have work to do, so I hope to settle down in one place around X-mas and volunteer for a NGO.

At the end of six months we shall see whether I extend my stay.

Last time I was there was two years ago, which was a pointless business trip and I never got out of Managua, so for the next few weeks expect a lot of dumbass questions from me about the practicalities of travel and everyday life.

P.S. I notice I used the phrase "dream job" above, actually I think that is an oxymoron.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate

Definitely

Maybe at some point we can actually work on one of the ideas we've tossed around if you're not too busy getting settled in.

i'd

i'd let you put up a yurt on my lot!

how about..

a concrete yurt?

that's

an idea. i have someone in mind to be superintendent for a 500 square foot place. maybe you might want to do it if my other person doesn't???
