Canadian Visa RequirementSubmitted by freesia on 27 August, 2008 - 23:03.
I have a Canadian friend visiting for 2 weeks this christmas on his way to Chile. Can anyone tell me if a visa is required for Canadians to enter Nicaragua? Is it something he can just get upon entering the country? Thanks. Freesia ( categories: )

2 weeks no problem
I am a Canadian and have traveled back and forth many times. Your only aloud to stay 30 days on a canadian passport traveling as a Tourist. As worker or student it is different. So no visa just a passport 30 days and your Canadian drivers license is good for the 90 days also. Happy trails to your friend!
Thanks all
The most he can extend (accdg to his schedule) would be 30 days anyway, so it would be safe to assume that no re-entry will be required of him.

Canadian Visa
He/she also pays the $5 entrance fee into Nicaragua but I believe the visa is now for 90 days. You could check with the Canadian consulate in managua.
He/she
Will be required to complete a visa request on the plain, he will get 30 days, as long as he/she has a ticket leaving Nicaragua in 30 days, as simple as that. I have never known anyone not to get a 30 day visa when arriving by plain.
passport
thats it.

Thanks
His passport will just get stamped then, and how long can he stay on that entry stamp, if in case.
