MONTREAL -- Montreal Impact goalkeeper Matt Jordan says it's hard to know what to expect from Real Esteli FC, but adds the key to success against the Nicaraguan champion is for the Impact to continue doing what it does best.

"We know they're going to be very skilful. They're going to be good with the ball and, tactically, they will know their system very well," said Jordan. "That's what we've prepared ourselves for.

"We are aware of their strengths because we have to be, but our main focus is what we have to do. We have a lot of momentum going for us right now. Everybody's playing well and we're looking forward to what is a great opportunity."

The Impact faces Real Esteli, nicknamed Tren del Norte (Train from the north), at Saputo Stadium Wednesday in the first game of a home-and-away, aggregate-goals series in the preliminary round of the inaugural CONCACAF Champions League tournament.

Futbol en Nicaragua?

I didn't think Nica's had any interest in soccer. All I hear and see is baseball and boxing. Thanks for the article.

maybe it is more popular in Esteli?

I love the nickname of the team, The Train of the North.
