Jarquin, Montealegre and U.S. Democrats?Submitted by fyl on 25 August, 2008 - 18:07.
The Tico Times (one of my least favorite news sources) has an article that just is too strange to be made up. They claim that Edmundo Jarquín and Eduardo Montealegre have been invited to the Democratic National Convention. Jarquín is going, Montealegre turned down the invitation because he is busy campaigning for Managua mayor.
The U.S. Democrats have invited Nicaraguan politicians, including former presidential candidates Eduardo Montaelegre and Edmundo Jarquín, to take part in the International Leaders Forum that coincides with the Democratic National Convention this week in Denver, Colorado.Ok, it isn't like they were invited to the convention. But, as I guess there is no news for the Democrats, maybe this is an attempt to have something newsworthy. ( categories: )
