Anyone here from Masaya?Submitted by Mike on 22 August, 2008 - 13:12.
How does it compare as a place to live? What's the weather like throughout the year? How expensive is it? How long to Managua and Granada? Is there a direct route to Jinotepe instead of taking a longer route through Nandaime?

I don't live in Masaya but I
I don't live in Masaya but I have heard some good things, specially about lower house prices and in fact Masaya is almost right in the middle of it all, has better roads and more product selection than granada. Masaya is only 15 minutes from granada and maybe 25 minutes from Managua. On the public transportation side it is ideal because at least over a dozen bus routes pass by masaya. You can get to Jinotepe by going to catarina and turning right on the road to Masatepe/San Marcos. Once you reach San Marcos you turn left at the church and that road takes you straight to jinotepe. There is also express (real small) and ordinario bus service to jinotepe every 15 minutes from masaya.
Thanks Aldo
Do you know what shape the road through Masatepe is in?
