panning for gold

I live in Managaua and have a small finca in Waslala,my brother who use to live in Idaho is coming down to visit.When I would go visit him we would go camping for a couple of days with fishing rods and gold pans,the fish we caught were probably worth more than the gold we found.He looked at the map of Nicaragua and said the gold mining area is near my place.Probably a 6 to 8 hour drive down the road.Question can you go panning for gold in the Rosita,Bonanza area or anywhere else. thanks acc
