Bad influence by Gringos?Submitted by buc10001 on 6 July, 2008 - 15:34.
Did I see a recent Post where someone said the Nicas were finally waking up to the negative influences from the influx of Gringos? And just how are 10,000 gringos effecting 6 Million Nicas? Are we the ones who are over-logging the Northern pine forests or over-farming the lands which cause so much erosion that it's polluting the coral in the Carribean? Or is it the natives who caused the water table in the Sebaco Valley to drop 3 meters because of excessive irrigation? And is it the natives who are stripping the exotic animals and birds from the forests to sell to the nasty gingos? I think it was the natives who my tourist friend saw last year taking healthy dumps in the rivers and the Pacific because there are few, if any, toilet facilities in their homes. But maybe it IS the gringos fault that your infrastructure is so sporatic and the government is so inept [dare I say corrupt?] that even wealthy Europeans won't invest in Nicaragua? And does one-forth of your total population really want to live in lower-class housing in MGA and Granada or it that because that's where the nasty tourists congregate? But who's fault is it that 100,000 Nicas have to work in Costa Rico just to earn a living? Ya, I'm sure it's those corrupt gringos who are upsetting the natural balance of things in Nicaragua. That country has such a great history of taking good care of all of its citizens. ( categories: )

Many people
...on this site are criticizing USA goverment and USA citizens. Criticizm can be used in positive way to improve , to built better future. The same positive criticism should be apply towards Nicaraguan problems to make changes to improve. I think that was the point of poster name buc.
I think michalina is correct on this one
This is the first prost of Jim Buc that I did not find offensive. The wording is strong but I found it to be critical without going overboard. The post seems to be based on his (ever changing) perspective.
On another note:
Like some other posters on this board, I have serious doubts as to the true motives of Jim Buc's posts. I venture to guess that he is someone that already is a member here and is just "Yanking our collective chains". There are just too many inconsistencies and different writing styles involved in his posts.
And The Truth shall make you Flee >>>
Mr. Berger; You have found me out! ...well, partially. I hold NO dislike for any Nicas or gringos. And, si, I am just rattling the cage to see what drops out. As for the few insults I have received on NL, they are as gentle reminders of my 20 years married to the original Ugly American farm woman. The 'Shinning Path' warriors could learn new tricks from that female! Bonus dias.
Of course you know you will be excommunicated
from the church of poisened mind (NL) for speaking your mind, even if you are actually sharing information that may or may not be helpful, which by the way is purely subjective. Your motivation for such a post is irrelevant as far as anyone should be concerned. By the way, you completely neglected to mention anything about the current government, also a sore spot for many members, several of whom are self-proclaimed communists supporting the current regime-read their profiles. But, people who are thinking of a move to Nicaragua may in fact want to know about certain things you mention, like people taking dumps in the water supply, etc...(ughh) which is also hilarious by the way!!! It is to be expected that you get attacked, however, because many members are of the mindset that Nicaragua is a pristine, flawless, utopia of a country and those who do not share their vision be damned or at least blacklisted-how dare youe blaspheme. It is unfortunate, but nonetheless the truth. And I understand why you felt you had to "lash out", especially after the tirade of abuse you received for your recent, mostly benign post regarding marriage. How much do you want to bet that I will get attacked for responding because this already hated outspoken, dumbass, liberal, left wing, loudmouth supports your right to post it? (Can I call my own self names?) This is the nature of the game on here. If they don't agree, so be it, they don't have to attack like a pack of mad dogs, they can simply state their position. See, I'm learning...Speaking of current regimes, I do not know who will win the next election in Nicaragua, but I hope Barack Obama wins in the US! Go Barack!

Senor Liam; you give a birth date of 1984? No wonder you don't get along with these OLD farts! You obviously haven't learned "Your Place", SIR! Discretion is the better part of Valor, whatever that means. Just be cool, and don't drool. buc.
Not beneficial?
Perhaps I over-reacted to the original Poster who suggested that gringos were fouling up Nicaragua. Or is the information I inserted INcorrect? I'm just trying to level the Playing Field and there is certainly NO hatred involved. Nica is a beautiful country and I'd like to see it remain unspoiled by any group of people, as much as possible. ..But I can see that negative remarks or opinions are NOT welcome here so I'll quietly slip away. ........... Via con dios, amigos.
I think it's in bad taste
I think it's in bad taste too. In fact, I think it's offensive to both Nicas and cheles a well. I wonder what is the motivation for this type of post. I wonder if he really is a farmer, or even a chele for that matter. If he is so negative towards Nicaragua, why does he want to move there? Also, I find it interesting that it is promoted to the home page of the site - I wonder what fyl has to say about that.
I owe Fyl an apology - it
I owe Fyl an apology - it turns out when you post a forum topic, it automatically get promoted to the home page. I mostly post to my blog, which does not get promoted, hence my confusion.
Hey, even Americans can have their say
Takes all kinds. even fyl.even you, and me. let's just be useful to each other.
This post is offensive
Please remove this post because promotes hate. There is enough hate in the world to have this "I hate you" post on our board. Blame anything and everything on the "natives" or "gringos" does not help to improve relations between "gringos" and "natives". Buc10001, if you do not like Nicaragua, please do not live in Nicaragua, go and live wherever you are happy. Thanks to God, there is other 9,999 good gringos and only one hater
you must be looking for a fight
How in any manor is this post benifical? In even the slighest fashion?
1st Capt. Ron (Title by Miskito Alan)
how in any Manner. not manor.
That's a state of mind in Buc's case.. also manners, which has gone absent. I would like if it's possible, some alternative wisdom. How about? given the price of fuel, gas, in the U.S Nicaragua will not get anything like the amount of YOUR (Mr Buc) U.S. Assholes visiting this year. Any Ideas?
