![]() I have two big sour orange trees in the garden and a giant pitahaya cactus grows on the top of both trees,the roots twist down the trunk of one tree and sprawl out on the ground. Usually the birds get the fruit before I can climb up to get them, but these two dragon fruits are growing right where I can snag them... ( categories: )

looks like two old ladies. I haven't a clue as to this plant or fruit. What? How? Why? would you do them? In Scotland or Canada we would damn the torpedeos and just make jam out of them..only kidding..what do they taste like? Thanks Anyway, I have never seen fruit..never mind dragon!, like that in my life.
pitahaya or dragon fruit
is a strange bright baseball sized red fruit with "scales" mostly used for juices. It has a white flesh with tiny black seeds. A valuable fruit, right now very early in the season small pitahayas are fetching 15 cords a piece in the market. I'll post a pic...
