24 volt battery chargersSubmitted by haircuttingcowboy on 1 June, 2008 - 17:15.
I have three 24-volt battery chargers (110 volts ac) used for charging electric wheelchairs (these typically operate with 24 volt systems with 2 deep cycle 12 volt batteries wired in series). If Phil or Doug or anyone else has any use for these chargers, I will sell them for $20 each plus shipping. I also have some 24 volt wheelchair motors, joystick controllers, brains and other parts available. When Fyl mentioned that he was running a 24 volt system for the geek ranch, I thought that these parts might be useful. They are not very useful to many people (outside their intended purpose) because they are 24 volt and not 12. Incidentally, there are many of these used items available in the US because in the US - anyone that needs them (electric wheelchairs and accessories) usually gets them "for free" because an insurance company, or the VA or medicare/medicaid pays for them for the injured or disabled.
