A recent mailing list post pointed to an article in the Bio-Nica on-line library. I just did a bit of exploring and found the site to be very impressive. Everything I found is in Spanish but that is no surprise. The documents are PDFs. Here are but a few of the sections of the library:

You could spend a week at least pouring through the many references, some are really quite comprehensive,not just solely about Nicaragua also includes other region/s relating to Latin America. I cheated as Google translation to English works well, I guess because most if not all subscriptions started in English.
