Interesting Results

It's time for a new poll but I wanted to comment on this one. I didn't expect the results we got. First, the 50% pro-Sandinista (FSLN+MRS) surprised me. If this was a national poll of people living in Nicaragua it certainly wouldn't but it isn't.

Rizo getting such a small percentage also surprised me. I can only guess the difference between here and Nicaraguan voters is much like in the U.S. where some people say "My dad was a [pick your party], I am too and always will be".

Finally, why the high numbers for the MRS compared to the election? My guess is that the MRS just couldn't get the word out about them before the 2006 election. I am anxious to see how well they do in the 2008 elections.
