Bolivia's Morales Remains PopularSubmitted by fyl on 2 April, 2008 - 08:25.
A recent poll shows that Evo Morales remains popular in Bolivia. He continues to maintain about 56% approval/40% disapproval. But, the sample information makes this a bit more interesting.
Bolivian president Evo Morales is keeping a stable rate of public support in major urban centres, according to a poll by Ipsos Apoyo, Opinión y Mercado. 56 per cent of respondents approve of the president’s performance, up one point since February. It is safe to assume the poll was only sampling opinion in major urban centers because it would be extremely difficult to collect data among the rural communities. But, it is also reasonable to assume that he would be more popular among those not being polled. For your amusement, you can compare this to recent poll numbers for Bush. ( categories: )
