More On a Hand-built RoadSubmitted by fyl on 24 March, 2008 - 19:45.
I previously posted a photo of the beginning of our work on the CoolTop access road. I decided that detailing what existed, what we did and what resulted was worth it for our "some-day public" web site. So, if you want to see how a "cemented together" road is really built, check out http://www.ctpni.com/road ( categories: )

Reminds somehow
of that Beatles song..The Long And Winding Road..congratulations on the progress, especially, as I guess the Rainy Season is coming up soon enough. Keep up with the Pics.
Major fear
The major fear we have is approval of the MARENA paperwork very soon. We want to bring in all the heavy building materials (cement, sand, rock, rebar, brick and block) soon. So far, we have another road we can use on the other side of the property which is important as we don't want to bring in heavy trucks before the cement is really cured.
But, as soon as we finish this part (about 700 meters) then we start working on the part that we have to use.
The road is looking good.
The road is looking good. Nice site. Good info on the Geek Ranch that'll be 1300 meters above sea level.
