080309 long housesSubmitted by Jinoturistica on 9 March, 2008 - 15:10.
Stateside in tract homes, the properties are fairly compact and more or less square. Many homes here in the center are subdivided colonials giving very long narrow profiles. My office has a front door on the street, no windows and goes back some 240 feet.
I live in the very back. Today I made it to the front door without assistance. My biggest fear is to make it halfway and fall...I do not have the strength to get up and would have to crawl to the kitchen and get up on the furniture. I try to carry a cellphone but it would be a long wait for help. so far downhill in such a short time!

Tony, I know from my own experience how difficult your situation is.
Not too long ago, i visited the ER 5 or 6 times and was admitted into the hospital twice. When i was sent home, i could hardly walk. It would take me hours of planning just to walk from the bedroom to the kitchen, how much wall to lean on do i have?, available furniture that can support me?, etc.
I was diagnosed with an irreversible illness that will take me to the grave sooner rather than later, right now, its in remission.
Tony, my departure won't be too far behind yours.
I'm not sure why i'm relating this story on this blog, but i want you to know that you are in our hearts and minds.
Hang in there Tony.
