need fast growing fence

I want a privacy fence to screen out nosey neighbor kids and dogs. (Yes, I KNOW they´ll get through - thats life.). In USA I would plant leylendii but what is quickest here. Quick is the operative word.

Maybe plant bamboo or other plants (bushes). You can also build a quick fence with plastic tarp, same as it is used on the coffee planations to stop small animals of eating the beans. In addition, you can ask at the local agency of the Agriculture Minister or at the "Cooperativa" for advice about it. I have a long time not coming to Jinotega, but on the road to Matagalpa, near the Selva Negra Hotel, it used to be some nurseries (viveros) that sell those plants. Good luck,

Bougainvillea

Bougainvillea seems to grow quickly around this part of the world. It has little thorns and will keep folks out for the most part. If you intersperse it with Croto it can make for a nice attractive fence. You may also try San Jose. Grows fast flowers all year.

Acacia I think

Look around in the fields not being farmed for a fast growing tree weed what ever it is, it has thorns and ants.

There are several varieties some bushy some straight and tall. They seed around august or later. Most people hate them so they cut them out but I guarantee they will protect the perimiter from most critter and men. The ants live in the ground around the plant two differnt varieties red and black. The red ants kill all the weeds around the tree giving it the benefit of protection, the black ants are farmers they grow mold. Both ants drink nectare from a pore on the ends of the branches, constantly marching up and down the branches defending this plant from any bug or animal that may find it tasty. I planted these along my fench line to keep thives way funny part cattle will no longer cross my property line. They can be planted close together to form a barrier then prune the tops they will get bushy and thick. Watch the ant have wars they go after each other trading trees usualy the reds win.

I imagined someone trying to sneak in on his belly or through my green fence after avoiding the thorns or licking the wounds thinking wow I made it in,only to realise the ants have only begun to sting the skin. and they sting and it hurts not even kevlar clothing can stop my little security guards once all the cloths have been removed the ants swept away from his bear skin my would be thief is very vulnerable, unlikly to try me again.

I had this idea after one of these trees got caught in my wheel well the thorns cut a $200 premium tire to pieces. I'm not kidding for a day or two I went around killing them and cursing the damn ants biting me. I couldn't touch the trees without getting bit. Then realised if I put them on the perimiter I would not need a fence or walls. Its the damn gate that I haven't figured out how to protect yet.
