Jinotega tourist office closing

Submitted by Jinoturistica on 6 February, 2008 - 21:17.

The Jinotega tourist office will be permanently closing March 31st. Other roads were available and Veronica and I have decided a new direction. It was fun but el fue.

The http://jinotega.com web site will continue although, perhaps, a little less aggressively.

Good Luck on Your New Venture!

Sorry to hear that the tourist office is probably closing, but change is always inevitable. Hope you do keep the jinotega.com up and going. It's a real gold mine of information for tourists and prospective immigrants to that area. I always like to check and see what new information you've added. Maybe sometime next year (with some luck) I may even be checking with you on the availability of one of the apartments!

ways to keep the office open

Veronica and I will move out of the office to a casa in the barrios of Jinotega. That seriously alters the economics of the tourist office. The rooms that we occupy are being converted to apartments which are currently advertised on NicaPlaza. If there is sufficient rental business or donations, the office will continue as a front-of-building operation about one tenth it's previous size.

Sponsorship or donations will help this valuable free tourist resource to continue. Running costs are $380 per month so your small donation goes a long way!

Tony, Sorry to hear that you

Tony,

Sorry to hear that you are closing down. Sheila and I will be moving to Jinotega early in March and will be sure to visit with when we arrive.

The best of luck in your new venture.
