El Universal reports that Venezuelan aid to Nicaragua in 2007 plus January 2008 totals $385 million. More is to come in the future.
Ortega added that during the rest of 2008, President Hugo Chávez has committed to provide other USD 300 million to pave the streets in poor neighborhoods nationwide, among other things, Efe reported.
There is also an additional $72.2 million on the way to continue current programs.
