Intentional Communities reading sourcesSubmitted by tedd on 18 January, 2008 - 18:49.
Many people in the US have been working building cohousing communities for years. There is a great deal to learn from their experiences. How much of this could work in Nicaragua is really up to the individuals involved, but the concept itself is very sound. If the more you read, the more you get excited, you may be one of those individuals looking for a better sense of community. No, it's not about communes. And no, it doesn't have to be all politically correct. We're all thinking about moving to Nicaragua to enjoy ourselves, after all. Think of sharing hobbies, talents, and a garden courtyard all within the greater culture of Nicaragua. The following websites will show you some possibilities, and just what a viable model for living it has become. The rest is up to you and your imagination, and a few others and their imaginations, etc. etc. ….. tedd www.aarpmagazine.org/lifestyle/rethinking_the_commune an article from aarp magazine… http://www.silversagevillage.com/cohousing.html a general explanation… http://www.silversagevillage.com/common.html this community’s shared plan http://www.whdc.com/media_room.shtml LINK to the largest builder/designer of cohousing with lots of info and links http://www.cohousing.org Definitions and frequently asked questions…. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the State. |
