![]() This is one type of rosquilla. Shape-wise they are like an onion ring. But, they have the consistency of a hard cookie. If you head from a donut to a bagel and keep going about the same distance you will get to a rosqulla. :-) I was going to take a picture of the other kind--more like a flat cookie with dulce on top--but when I asked Ana where they were she pointed to her stomach. Expect to pay C$10 for a bag of about 20 if you are in Madriz with the price going up the further you get away from there. ( categories: )

Taste
Size-wise, they're probably a couple inches in diameter. And they taste pretty salty, and very dry. I don't blame Ana for eating the others first. That's what always happens to mine, too! I find that the sweetness helps balance out the flavor.
