Boats

Just wondering what one these boats would cost since everyone keeps talking how poor the people are?

Cost?

The "pangas" cost about U$5,000 to U$7,500.

People may be poor here; but, these boats are fishing boats and that is how the majority of the men earn their money. ____________________________________________________________________

Pangas ...yes!

Ah, the pangas. This is a lovely landing. I've been to Port several times, but never been to the beach areas. My experience in pangas stems from numerous trips between El Rama and Bluefields in every kind of weather imaginable.

Where is this

Alan where is this?

Beach Location!

This is one of many panga beaches in Puerto Cabezas proper. This particular beach is called "Little Landing" and is one block south from the main public (international) wharf.

Water

I dont know why, but I always imagined the water would be carribean blue.

Water?

The sea water in Corn Island is the blueist and clearest in the whole Carribean. You can see at least 20 feet down. The "Pearl Cays" also have clear blue sea water.

The "Atlantic Coast" waters are not blue but brownish because of the influence of the river's drainage into the sea. 35 miles offshore from Port in the "Miskito Cays" the water is blue and clear.

Prettier it cant get.

It can't get any prettier than this !
