It rained just a little bit today. It appears the days of downpour may be over. We went up the dirt road to Tisey today and at least from the hospital to La Garnacha it is in fine shape. A few vados full of water but that's what they are there for. When I got back to town this afternoon they were already fixing the streets. It is a fairly easy process with multiple crews of 3 or 4 people working around town. (If this isn't making sense, check out http://www.nicaliving.com/image/tid/23 which will show you how the streets are paved.) Damage is where part of the street has sunk. To repair, the crew just removes to blocks that are too low, puts sand under them and tamps the back into place. A lot easier than scheduling the grader, the paving machine, ... ( categories: )
